CURCHOREM: Sixty-one-year-old Dilip Rama Sawant, a resident of Sawantwada, Cacora, Curchorem is reported to have got drowned in the River at Bansai, Curchorem on Sunday evening.
According to Curchorem PSI Sanit Kavlekar, a missing complaint was filed by the victim’s son on Sunday morning and at around 7.20 pm they received a call from an unknown person informing them about the incident.
“Immediately we reached the site and informed the fire service personnel but before fire brigade could reach the site, the locals managed to retrieve the body. The body has been sent to TB Hospital morgue, Margao for post mortem,” informed PI Kavlekar.
He said a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
