MARGAO: The Curtorim Cultural Committee will organise the carnival float parade at Curtorim on February 13.
Joao Francisco Fernandes, known as Chic will be the King Momo.
The float parade, which will commence from Maina market at 3 pm, will end at Curtorim market. Various groups will participate, informed Terancio Fernandes, committee treasurer.
Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco informed that on February 11, there will be a drawing competition in three categories namely tiny tots for children studying in pre-primary, sub-junior category for primary school students and junior category for students studying in 5th to 8th standard.
The finals of the all Goa Singing Competition will be held on February 12, the auditions for the same were held on February 3. 8 in the junior category and 10 in senior category have been shortlisted and they will perform live at the event.
Besides, the committee has organised various programmes during the three days which include the ‘Voice of Curtorim’ singing competition for locals, ‘Dancing Stars of Curtorim”, a group dancing contest for locals, Comedy King of Curtorim, ice carving, vegetable carving and flower decoration competitions.
