Curtorim local held guilty

The South Goa Sessions Court on Wednesday held guilty a resident of Curtorim for culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the death of Reshma Redkar.
Additional sessions Judge, P V Kamat held the accused Minguel Fernandes guilty under section 304-A of the IPC instead of murder. The incident had taken place on May 15, 2008 when the accused had allegedly hit the victim causing injuries.
The prosecution examined 12 witnesses in support of its case. The accused will be heard on the point of sentence on May 21.
