MARGAO: Frustrated over persistent voltage fluctuations and power outages, Curtorim residents met the Electricity Department engineers at the Power House in Margao.
Curtorim Zilla Panchayat (ZP) member Michelle Rebelo, accompanied by Congress leader and general secretary Moreno Rebelo, led a delegation demanding immediate action against the recurring power fluctuations and outages. The residents, including Filomena Sequeira from Tambetim, voiced their grievances about irregular power supply and inadequate streetlights.

The delegation engaged with various officials, including the Junior Engineer (JE), Assistant Engineer (AE), Executive Engineer (EE), and Superintending Engineer (SE), who assured the residents that concrete actions would be taken to address their concerns.
The delegation met the Public Works Department (PWD) Executive Engineer (EE) Swapnil Dessai, urging prompt intervention in Gotnibhat, Raitolem in Bhati Curtorim, and Maina, where incomplete PWD work has resulted in hazardous conditions for commuters. The EE assured to try and get the issues rectified.
