MARAGO, MAY 8
The Citizens Welfare Committee (CWC) on Friday vowed to strive and make Margao and Fatorda a better, cleaner, greener and safer place to live.
In a press release issued by Assistant general secretary Arlindo Nunes, it was stated that CWC President Savio Dias has withdrawn his resignation after the same was rejected by the executive committee members.
Saying that CWC is not linked with any other NGO, Nunes claimed that another group has been purposely formed with similar abbreviation to misguide the public and vowed to continue to take up social and public related issues in and around Margao.
He informed that the CWC will have new office bearers after the general body meeting and elections.
