VASCO: In a shocking incident, a resident of Alto-Dabolim allegedly assaulted headmistress, teacher and a peon of Kehsav Smruti High School at Alto Dabolim on Wednesday morning. The accused has been arrested.
According to Vasco police, Gurudas Dahkankar complained that the accused Prakshit Raikar, assaulted him, teacher Mandakani Kumbar and school headmistress Sushma Korgaokar in the school premises between 9.30 and 10 am on Wednesday.
Dahkankar further stated that he was on the first floor of the school when the incident took place and when he heard some noise in the headmistress’ cabin on the ground floor he rushed to the office and saw Raikar assaulting Kumbar and Korgaokar.
Police further informed that Dahkankar tried to stop the assault, but he too was assaulted. When contacted, the teachers at the school said they are not aware why Raikar assaulted the headmistress, teacher and the peon. “Dahkankar was rushed to Chicalim Cottage Hospital, while Kumbar and Korgaokar were shifted to GMC Hospital in Bambolim for medical treatment,” informed a teacher.
