BICHOLIM: Four persons including one from the same village attacked a dairy farmer from Mayem with iron rods and fled from the scene.
According to the available information, on Sunday evening, one Anil Karbotkar was taking his cattle back home when the incident happened. Four persons who came in a car alighted on the road and assaulted Karbotkar with iron rods.

Karbotkar’s son, who was also present tried to stop them, they fled from the scene. One of the local has been identified by the police who is presently absconding with the other three.
Local Sarpanch Tulshidas Chodankar has strongly denounced the act and has asked the police to take action in the matter.
“This is the first incident where in outsiders have taken law in their hand and have assaulted a villager. The person is injured and we demand that the police should arrest all the accused,” Chodankar stated.
The police have registered a case against unknown accused and are further investigating the case.
