Day 1: 847 tourists visit Dudhsagar Falls

PONDA: With the tourism season already in, Goa’s famous Dudhsagar Falls, which remains closed during monsoons, opened for tourists on Monday as 121 jeep operators took around 847 tourists to the four-tiered waterfall.

The waterfall attracts a huge number of tourists both foreign as well as domestic every year. 
This year too, a huge rush of visitors is expected, which continues till May-end before monsoon.
BJP State President Vinay Tendulkar, Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar, RFO Dyaneshwar Kudalkar and many domestic and foreign tourists were present. 
The tourists were welcomed with flowers by the government authorities. 
There are around 435 jeep operators registered with forest department and every day around 225 jeep operators, who take the tourists on the journey, which passes through the rough and muddy road of Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary from Collem Bazaar.
