PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has asked the State Election Commission to forthwith announce the election schedule as well the reservation of seats by following the principle of rotation to end any speculation that may erode the commission’s credibility.
Addressing media in the presence of senior Aam Aadmi Party leaders, Convenor Elvis Gomes said that the State Election Commission (SEC) cannot behave like a department of the government and wait for directions from political establishment of the BJP to announce the election schedule.
He said that the successive governments of Congress and BJP have given post retirement jobs to IAS officers from Uttar Pradesh, who had briefly served in Goa, as Chairman of the SEC
