BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade in a tweet said, “Congress should declare their opposition leader and not worry about BJP’s Leader of the Legislature Party. Yesterday’s press conference revealed that Congress has no ammunition left.”

Tanavade further Tweeted, “It was funny seeing Digambar Kamat struggling to read the press note given to him at a recently held press conference.”

In his reply, Mardolkar asked Tanavade to tell Goans why Dr Pramod Sawant and Vishwajit Rane had rushed to Delhi to meet Amit Shah.

Slamming the BJP in his reply, Panjikar posted, “#Hope you have enough ‘Batatawades’ for multiple BJP meetings holding from Dilli to Galli to pacify ambitious Vishwajit Rane who is all out to be Goa CM by keeping defective Pramod Sawant out.”

Beena Naik on her Twitter handle posted, “#BJP should surrender and allow others to form government if they are unable to decide their CM candidate.”

Congress leader Digambar Kamat had on Friday held a press conference stating that the party is open for all options to ensure that a non-BJP government is in place. He had also condemned the delay tactics of BJP to form the government.

Taking dig at Kamat, Tanavade said, “The Margao MLA should swear before Lord Damodar that he will work for the betterment of Margao, and relieve Madgavkars from 27 years of underdevelopment and not indulge in sinful activities of misguiding the people of Goa.”
