PANJIM: The Little Flower Church, managed by the Syro-Malabar Church in Lado Sarai, which was pulled down on July 12 following an order from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), is getting ready for Christmas.

AAP in a press release claimed that Archbishop Kuriakose Bhalangikuran has thanked Arvind Kejriwal for his “swift intervention”

He was quoted in the press release as saying “The demolition of the church was a great shock to the whole community and they were saddened by the unexpected attack. It was very disheartening to see the church demolished”.

AAP also quoted the Archbishop when he thanked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his quick intervention to secure a temporary place of worship.

AAP’s press release further stated that Fr Jose Kannukujhi, Parish Priest of the church and Abrahim Reebachan, trustee of the church had reportedly praised AAP for its efforts.

The press release further stated that “Delhi

church demolition and the involvement of AAP government in it is misleading as it is clear that this matter started long before AAP came into power; and the demolition was ordered by BJP-controlled DDA, the AAP press release added.
