This coming Sunday will witness the second time the SGPDA grounds will host the Holy Spirit Church feast fair. While this was due to a court ruling following demands from locals as the fair would lead to traffic congestion and other related problems. When it was held on the footpaths of Margao-Colva-Fatorda, there were problems aplenty with the SGPDA ground. One of the biggest issues the relocated fair faced was that of dust pollution and this drove away large crowds as well sweet vendors and other traditional stalls selling eatables. There were demands that laying of a carpet and watering the area could have solved the issue and prevent dust rising in the air with crowds walking in. There have been demands that the municipality that is looking after the arrangements takes a cue from the logistics that are put in place whenever the multiple expo/exhibitions are held on the same grounds and that all steps should be taken to ensure that the public face no inconvenience when they attend the fair that is known to draw thousands of locals, especially from the south for a week long extravaganza.
