SANGUEM: The office of Deputy Collector and Sub Divisional Officer in Sanguem taluka was inaugurated on Monday in the Sanguem Municipal Council (SMC) building by Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte in the presence of Power Minister Nilesh Cabral, MLA Prasad Gaonkar, Sandip Pauskar, SMC chairperson Romualdo Fernandes, South Goa Collector Tariq Thomas and others.
Khaunte assured the people of Sanguem of getting all their pending works completed in future.
Khaunte informed the locals that during the last 18 months, the government has brought several reforms in the land rules and regulations. Unlike in the past, the mutation procedure under any circumstances needed to be completed within 90 days. Certificates such as residence, divergence and income need to be issued within a period of five days by concerned talathis.
Power Minister Nilesh Cabral assured to get all pending works of Sanguem constituency completed in future.
He urged the Sanguem residents to support the government in the development works and added that the constituency will witness more development works than Curchorem in future.
MLA Prasad Gaonkar thanked the government for the opening the office of Deputy Collector at Sanguem within a short period and urged for the immediate opening of Land survey office in Sanguem.
