MARGAO: Tehelka founder editor Tarun Tejpal who is presently at Sada sub-jail in judicial custody moved an application before the South Goa district and sessions court, Judge Nutan Sardesai for withdrawal of his bail application filed before the court and permission to file fresh application.
It may be recalled that accused Tejpal, fearing arrest by Mormugao police in case of mobile recovered from him in the cell had moved for anticipatory bail before the court. During a search conducted at cells in Sada sub-jail, mobile phones were found with three inmates by jail guard Babu Varak including oen with accused Tejpal.
In course of the investigation it has been revealed that the SIM card found with Tejpal belonged to one Treza Nunes a resident of Taligao, Dona Paula. In her statement to the Mormugao police Nunes has stated that she had given her SIM card to the father of one of the inmate accused who is at Sada sub-jail.
