PANJIM: Despite the mining ban, government expenditure till September end was almost Rs 3,780 crore, which is 15 percent higher compared to last year during same period, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said.
“State never went under financial deficit…from some or the other means, revenue continued to get generated…we neither stopped any developmental work nor any schemes like DSSS and Laadli laxmi,” Parrikar said.
Chief Minister said that there are currently Rs 70 crore outstanding payment to be made, while the rest has been cleared. Government suffered a loss of around Rs 1,000 crore due to mining ban, since September, last year.
