PANJIM: PWD Minister Ramkrishna Sudin Dhavalikar has ordered an inquiry by the collector into the case of food poisoning that affected students of Mallikharjun High School, Canacona, and expects that the report will be filed by Friday.
Dhavalikar who is holding charge in the absence of the Chief Minister, who is abroad, expressed concern about the turn of events at Canacona and said that action will be taken once the report is filed by the collector.

Meanwhile, the NCP has hit out at the Education Department by asserting, “Before the new academic year could start, we had expressed serious concern through the media about the unhygienic mid-day meals supplied by various groups/contractors to avoid an impending disaster,” the NCP said in a statement.
