PANJIM: In a bid to meet the shortage of doctors in various hospitals, Directorate of Health Services has appointed 20 new doctors on contract basis.
The order issued by Health Director Dr Sanjiv Dalvi states, “The doctors (serving bond) are hereby appointed on contract basis under DHS with immediate effect, initially for a period of one year.”
The appointment is at a consolidated salary of Rs 55,000 per month. Officials said another 35 new doctors will be appointed on contract basis.
