Dialysis unit started at Bicholim CHC

BICHOLIM: The Bicholim Community Health Centre started the kidney dialysis unit, which is managed by Apex Kidney Care, on Tuesday.

The kidney dialysis unit was inaugurated by Speaker of Assembly Rajesh Patnekar in the presence of Mayem Constituency MLA Pravin Zantye, Health Officer Dr Medha Salkar, Dr Sheetal Lengde of Apex Kidney Care, Dr Shekhar Salkar, BMC Chairman Kundan Falari, Sarpanch of Sarvan Village Panchayat Gokuldas Sawant, Sarpanch of Mayem Village Panchayat Seema Arondekar, panchas, staff of Apex Kidney Care and the Community Health Centre.

It’s managed by Apex Kidney Care with Dr Lengde as the Nephrologist. Apex Kidney Care is managing 10 such units across the State. This facility will be totally free for the patients and should register themselves, on the second floor of the Community Health Centre. Almost 15 to 20 patients in and around Bicholim need three times a week dialysis.
