PORVORIM: Churchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral on Monday demanded that heavy fines should be imposed on people littering plastic instead of banning it.
“I have a different opinion about plastic. I say that heavy fines should be imposed on people seen littering plastic instead of banning the same,” said Cabral.
He further demanded that CCTV cameras should be installed at various towns and cities in order to keep a close watch on illegalities.
“As there is an extension building coming up in the assembly complex, I demand that an MLA hostel be set up as it becomes easier for them to stay during the assembly session instead of travelling back to their respective homes,” he added.
