PANJIM: Dr Vilas Babulo Krishna Naik has been awarded “Bharat Ratna Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Excellence Gold Medal Award-2019” at 37th All India National Seminar held in Bengaluru, last month.
The award has been given for excellence in chosen field of activity. Naik, a resident of Arpora village, has been practicing allopathic medicine for more than 25 years and has generously dedicated his medical practice to his villagers and the people at large.
He has been working for the downtrodden and weaker sections since 1980 with no gain and profit basis.
