Addressing a function organised by Kalyan Ashram, Goa branch at the Ravindra Bhavan here on Sunday, the Chief Minister said the government would initiate measures within the next 8-10 days to ensure that all welfare schemes tailored for the STs will be implemented in right earnest.
“Schemes for the education and health of the ST community will be implemented seriously to ensure that the standard of the community is brought on par with the general population within the next 10 years,” Parrikar said.
On the occasion, he recognized the yeoman service rendered by the Kalyan Ashram for the upliftment of the Scheduled Tribe community and announced that the government would treat the organisation as an NGO in the implementation of the schemes for the Scheduled Tribes.
