Dug up roads cause inconvenience to commuters; result in water shortage to locals

The road dug up for laying cables at Mandrem, Parsem, Arambol and Agarwada, causes severe inconvenience to the local residents and tourists. Cable laying work in the Northern coastal belt has obstructed the mobility of commuters for the past few weeks thus paving way for accidents. Locals said the water pipeline has been ruptured and there is no way for emergency services to come through.

Due to the roads being narrow, the police face difficulty in managing traffic which is a usual occurrence now. Local Sanjay Kole warned if there’s another fatal accident on these roads, they will shut down the work.
