Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Saturday said the government has issued the notification giving powers to the Deputy Collectors in each taluka to scrutinize the applications and pass necessary orders.
“The forms are already being printed and will be available with the mamlatdar in each taluka. Also MLAs will be provided with the forms,” he said addressing BJP workers in the city.
The government on June 24 had issued an ordinance to provide for regularization of unauthorized constructions in Goa existing before February 28, 2014. The ordinance was later introduced as a bill in the Monsoon session of the State Assembly and passed.
Deputy Collectors and Mamlatdars have been directed to identify constructions which are unauthorized or any part of it which is unauthorized and have not applied for regularization, within 180 days of the ordinance coming into force.
As per the Act the person who has carried out unauthorized construction before the cutoff date can make an application to the authorized officer, who would then scrutinize and decide accordingly.
