PONDA: An electric scooter parked in the premises of Krishi Bazar building project on Ponda-Bethora road suddenly caught fire and the entire bike was gutted on Saturday evening.
Fire tenders rushed to the area to put off the flames but by then the vehicle was completely charred.
The owner of the bike informed police that he suffered a loss of Rs 1.2 lakh. The video of the electric two-wheeler catching fire went viral over social media with netizens raising queries about the safety of such vehicles.
