PANJIM: Economic Development Corporation (EDC) on Friday approved the setting up of an incubation centre at its office with the aim of boosting technology start-ups in the State.
The decision was taken at the EDC Board meeting under the chairmanship of Sidharth Kuncalienkar.
The board also decided to set up a steering committee under the chairman to fast track the convention centre project given to EDC by the government, to have the first phase ready for the 50th edition of IFFI 2019.
The board also approved the consolidated balance sheet and profit and loss statement for the financial year ending March 31, 2017. The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman Santosh Kenkre, GCCI President Sandip Bhandare and others.
