The Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde has announced plans to contest around 30 seats in the upcoming Goa Assembly elections, signalling the party’s aggressive expansion strategy in Goa.
The announcement was made during a major Shiv Sena workers’ convention held at Hirabai Zantye Hall, where Uday Samant stated that the party’s objective is not only to contest elections but also to establish political power in Goa.

Several senior Shiv Sena leaders and office bearers from Goa and Maharashtra attended the gathering. Party leaders said candidates with strong grassroots support and winning potential would be given election tickets as part of the party’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the state.
The development is being seen as a significant political move ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls, with the party aiming to expand its influence beyond Maharashtra.
