PANJIM: Thanks to Election Code of Conduct about 6000 offers of appointment and 160 letters issued by nine departments after the Code came into force will be kept in abeyance until after the elections.
The 600 candidates who received offers of appointment after the Code came into operation on 24th December, might have to go through whole process of selection yet again after he code ceases to exist.
“It will depend on the new government,” said Navti when asked about the validity of offers of appointment issued after Election Code came into force. He also clarified that they referred the matters pertaining to violation of code of conduct to Election Commission of India
.Only 10 complaints of the total 36 complaints of violation of Election Code of Conduct received by the EC are valid. Hence, only 10 complaints are being investigated and rest have been dropped.
