PANJIM: The general elections of the three village panchayats of Pernem taluka – Alorna, Casarvarnem and Chandel-Hassapur will be held on December 9.
The State Election Commission (SEC) on Friday announced the election schedule thus bringing into force the model code of conduct in these three panchayat areas.
As per the schedule the counting of votes will take place on December 11.
The filing of nominations will begin from November 22 with last date being November 29. The scrutiny of applications will take place on November 30. The withdrawals, if any, will be held on December 1.
The voting will take place through ballot papers.
