MARGAO: Touting Aam Aadmi Party’s Scheduled Tribe leaning credentials, the party’s chief ministerial candidate Elvis Gomes proudly announced that AAP is the only party that has fielded four Scheduled Tribal candidates this election.
He alleged that none of the parties in Goa have worked to alleviate the sufferings of the ST here.
Addressing the press, Elvis Gomes said, “There is no party in Goa which has and can give so much representation. All the governments have only used them for agitations protests and some have also died in the same. AAP will work to alleviate the suffering of the ST’s and make sure justice is done to the same.”
Sanguem Candidate Ravindra Velip said, “We have been fighting against the system. It is important to know that the Congress and the BJP have together deprived and subverted at least four thousand jobs meant for STs.”
“Leaders on the lines of Ramesh Tawadkar, Prakash Velip, Pandurang Madkaikar came and enjoyed power but never cared for the STs. Our candidates if voted to power will do everything possible for the betterment of STs. AAP is the only party which has fielded four ST candidates,” Elvis said.
