PANJIM: Enfermos Sports Club registered a 2-0 win over Navelim Sporting Club in the Goa Football Association Third Division League at Mandopa ground, on Thursday.
Enfermos’ Cajetan Dias was the star player for his side as the lad scored both the goals for the winners. He netted his first in the 35th minute and scored his second in the 83rd minute.
In another match at Artificial Turf ground, Raitura Sports Club scored a hard fought 2-1 win over Arlem Youth Association.
After half an hour of duel, Sweton Rebello put Raitura Sports Club ahead in the game with a sublime finish. Arlem Youth association who trailed in the first session came back stronger in the second session but the goal eluded them until when Rosben Colaco scored the equalising goal in the 67th minute.
With scores tied, both sides tried to find the match-winner. Chances were created and wasted too by both sides. However, in the 83rd minute Sweton Rebello came to his side’s rescue netting his second and the match-winner to give Raitura SC three points.
