CANACONA: After having succeeded in cracking the Vijaya Pagi’s murder and rape case, Crime Branch is upbeat that the evidence collected is enough to nail the 20-year old Bihar native for allegedly murdering and then raping the 50-year-old fisherwoman.
For the second day on Monday, the Crime Branch investigating team led by DySP Sammy Tavares took the accused Ram Bharose to the taluka and collected evidence from his residence, which incidentally is some metres away from the scene of crime.
“We will soon get the mobile phone of the murdered woman, as we already got the link to it. It will come in our hands soon. However, as of now no more arrests will be made,” Tavares told Herald.
