SANGUEM: Holi was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Sanguem by all sections of the society. A special programme on Holi was organized by Dattawadi Boyz which witnessed the participation of a large number of revellers.
The celebrations saw participants both young and old enjoying the celebrations to the core with variety of colours being thrown at each other.
The revellers were seen dancing to the beats of the music to mark the celebration as a triumph of good over evil.
A special programme was also organized by the former chairperson and councillor of Sanguem Municipal Council Sanjay Raikar wherein a large number of people including women participated. It may be noted that Holi is celebrated across India and its popularity seems to be rising with every passing year particularly in the remote areas. Holi was also celebrated in other parts of the Sanguem with a large number of youth enjoying the morning session.
