PANJIM: Medical equipment worth Rs 6 lakh has been stolen from a 108 ambulance, which was parked at the Goa Medical College (GMC) complex.
Agassaim Police Inspector Uday Gaude told Herald that a complaint has been filed by an official of GVK-EMRI regarding the equipment that is missing from the ambulance. This includes AED, ventilator, multiple monitor, BP apparatus and thermometer.
“The vehicle was parked near the open space at GMC complex. The occurrence of the offence is between December 12, 2017 and January 12, 2018,” the officer said quoting the complaint copy.
The investigating team has summoned the ambulance drivers to appear for questioning on Tuesday. “We want to understand the work shifts of the drivers, who was last on duty when the equipment went missing, whether the ambulance was locked, etc,” the officer said.
