Former Union Minister Ramakant Khalap and Congress president Amit Patkar have condoled the death of Dr Prabhudessai.

Stating that they were together in the third Legislative Assembly of Goa, Daman and Diu, Khalap said, “Dr Prabhudessai’s interventions in the debates in the Legislative Assembly are proof of his commitment to his duties and the welfare of his constituents and the people of Goa. He served his people selflessly and with devotion.”

“Dr Anil was my pillar of strength. He was my guide and philosopher and I turned to him whenever I was afflicted with indecision and lack of orientation in my public life,” Khalap said in his condolence message.

Expressing his shock at the passing of former MLA Dr Prabhudessai, Patkar said, “He was one of the nicest and most popular doctors I have ever met. His gentle manner and reassuring demeanour at that time was forever remembered and appreciated by our family.
