PANJIM: The State-appointed expert panel will submit its report on Medium of Instruction at the elementary education to the government on January 24.
The 17-member panel headed by educationist Bhaskar Nayak held a pre-submission meeting on the report. The members have suggested minor corrections, which would be incorporated and a final report would be approved on January 24.
Speaking to Herald, Nayak said that the MoI report will be submitted to the government on January 24.
“In today’s (Monday) meeting, the report was presented and the members have suggested some corrections, which will be incorporated in confidentiality. The final report for approval will be placed before committee on January 24 and will be presented to the government,” he said.
The report would help government to zero upon the MoI policy for the students at the elementary education.
Nayak refused to disclose extracts of the report stating that “it is prerogative of State government”.
The expert panel headed by Nayak was formed on July 15, 2016 by then State cabinet led by Laxmikant Parsekar. The committee was supposed to submit its report to the government on December 31, 2018.
