Her fondness to upload photos on Facebook proved costly for a girl from Bicholim, when some persons used her photo to create fake identity and sent obscene links.
In her complaint, the girl told Bicholim Police that she along with a friend had uploaded her photo on Facebook.
The complainant further stated that she was shocked to see another profile in which her photo was used after cropping it alongside another person.
When the girl tried to know about the identity of the other profile, the unknown person warned her through chat and also sent her obscene sites.
Following the incident, the girl registered a complaint with Bicholim Police and a case was registered under Sections 66 A, 67 A of IT Act. Police is investigating the case.
