MARGAO: Rajendra Talak, the noted filmmaker who recently assumed the position of Chairman at Ravindra Bhavan Margao (RBM) after a year-long vacancy, has assured to address citizens’ complaints regarding the lack of facilities at RBM.
Talak expressed his commitment during a media interaction following the assumption of office by the newly appointed general council, including vice chairman Manohar Borkar.
In response to queries about complaints regarding the absence of a canteen and issues with the sound system, air-conditioning, and toilets, Talak stated that he would conduct a meeting with his staff and collaborate with the government to establish a timeline for resolving these issues.
He acknowledged that the non-functioning canteen had been a major concern for visitors and that complaints regarding sanitation and cleanliness had also been raised.
Talak outlined a phased plan of action, with specific targets set for each major issue affecting RBM’s visitor experience. He emphasized RBM’s commitment to providing the best facilities for its visitors, who deserve an excellent experience.
Talak stressed that RBM is a premier cultural centre in Goa and affirmed that the council would strive to bring about improvements in programming and activities for the public.
