The nomination papers of Helen Fernandes (Independent) supported by incumbent ZP Rosario (Marathe) Fernandes, Lourenchinha Correia (Independent), Perpetual Hazel Fernandes (BJP), Sangita Prakash Gaunso Dessai (Independent) and Tesifa Fernandes (Independent) have been accepted.
“The nomination papers of Tesifa Fernandes were accepted after adjourning for 10 minutes to cross verify the qualifying age to contest,” informed Gaonkar.
Meanwhile, nomination papers of six candidates from Barcem ZP were accepted by the returning officer.
Nomination papers of Datta Shanu Velip (Independent), Khushali Jorgo Velip (MGP), Rajesh Ramchandra Gaonkar (Independent), Ravindra Arjun Velip (Independent), Rupesh Fondu Velip (Independent) and Vithoba Sukdo Velip (Independent) were accepted.
