VASCO: Fishing trawler owners from Khariwado jetty have claimed that since last two nights they have been noticing some unusual florescent liquid floating on the water surface all along the Khariwado jetty.
Jerry Fernandes, a fishing trawler owner operating from Khariwado jetty, said that he along with few other fishing trawler owners were surprised to see unusual florescent liquid floating on the water surface and when they checked water all along the Khariwado jetty it had similar color.
“I am pretty sure that this pollution will not be due to discharge or release of oil but something else,” he said. Fernandes has demanded that the Goa State Pollution control board inspect the site during night and find out the source of pollution.
Meanwhile, MPT officials are yet to reply to the questions on the subject.
