MARGAO: The foundation stone for the new market complex was laid at Rumdamol, Davorlim by ZP member Ulhas Tuenkar.
All India Haj Committee chairman Shaikh Jina, Rumdamol sarpanch Samiulla Faniband, deputy sarpanch Madukla Shirodkar, panchas Esha Naik, Avita Chodankar, Vinayak Volvoikar, Sofia Shaikh, Paresh Naik and others were present. The market, which is estimated to cost Rs 14 lakh, will be constructed on a land at Rumdamol ground.
The market will be handed over to the Rumdamol panchayat which will provide space to at least 30 vendors.
