PONDA: Art and Culture Minister and Priol MLA Govid Gaude on Sunday said the foundation stone for Rs 106 crore water treatment plant will be laid on January 26, at Shitollem Lake in Querim-Savoi Verem.
The minister said, “This plant will have similar capacity to that of Opa at Khandepar. T
he plant will be completed within three years. It will meet the water requirements of Priol Cumbharjua, St Estevam and Curti Khandepar. The cabinet has taken a decision on the project.”
PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar along with Gaude on Sunday laid the foundation stone for Rs.3.5 crore development works in Karmale- Querim in Priol constituency. The works include pathway, steps, retaining wall, road etc.
PWD Minister Pauskar said, “Ponda to Bhoma old roads will be hotmixed by February.”
