PANJIM: Four juvenile boys, lodged at the State-run shelter-cum-remand home, Apna Ghar, escaped on Tuesday. One boy was traced hours later while three are still on the run.
Police sources said the foursome allegedly pre-planned the escape. “We came to know about their escape at around 2:45pm. The local police station was immediately alerted,” said a source.
The escapees hail from Vasco and Sanquelim. “The police managed to trace one while the search for the other three is underway. We have informed our counterparts in the neighbouring districts and simultaneously our teams are on a look out across different places in the State,” he said.
