VASCO: A family of four comprising a couple, an elderly woman and a nine-month-old child was injured in an accident opposite NSD gate in Dabolim on Thursday evening.
The crash occurred at about 6.30 pm when the driver of Alto car (George) along with his wife, mother and nine-month-old child (details awaited), while proceeding towards Vasco from BITS Pilani (residence) applied sudden brake and dashed against an electric pole erected between the road divider.
At same time a truck that was proceeding in same direction came from behind and dashed against the Alto car. The impact was such that the car got trapped between electric pole and truck, thereby injuring all four occupants of car. All four of them were taken to a private hospital at Chicalim from where elderly mother and child were shifted to GMC Bambolim, police said.
