ALDONA: Parish Priest of Mother of God Church, Pompurba, Fr Agnelo Diogo de Souza passed away on Friday morning.
The church he was based at, for the last seven years, is also known as Mae De Deus. He was 64-year-old and passed away at 5 am after taking ill the previous night. He was parish priest of Pomburpa from 2012 till date.
He was transferred and supposed to leave to Sirsaim Parish on Friday. A thanksgiving mass and programme was offered for him by the parishioners of Pomburpa the previous day.
Sources informed that he was suffering for a while and was undergoing dialysis.
