From a micro- level, Herald takes a look at the pending issues that still have to be attended to in each ward.

Residents have been quick to point out that the councillors have been elected for 5 years and question why it is the same scenario every year where demands for basic facilities are always met with vague responses.
“We take the issue to the councillor they tell us to talk to the chairperson, chief officer, MLA and other departments and we run around in circles and no work is done” said Ryan Dias from Pajifond.
Former chairperson Savio Coutinho added that the council had failed to deliver at the start of their 5 year tenure and rued the fact that councillors were only seen in cat and mouse games chasing the chair rather than concentrating on the work that the public had entrusted them to pursue. 
1) Murida /Agalli /Gogol/ Amrut 
Nagar/ Fatorda
Councillor : Arthur D’silva
Problems :  The biggest issue of Sonsodo plagues this ward with leachate flowing down and polluting the wells.
A nullah at Agalli needs to be cleaned urgently. 
Bad conditions of roads at Agalli.
2) Ambaji/ Ravondem/Bolcapand/ 
Fatorda/Aguada/ Gauliwado
Councillor : Bertha Cardozo
Problems : Not all houses have been supplied with bins from Municipalities.
Waste collection is not monitored and the SGH’s are not getting assistance from the council, hence collection is irregular.
 Internal roads are in very bad state. Irregular parking is a menace.
3) Chandrawaddo/ Ambaji/Dongorwado/ 
Gouliwaddo/Copelwado/ Fatorda
Councillor : Joseph Silva
Problems :  The stench of cow dung in the drains and sewage emanates from Dongorwaddo. This is then directed into storm drains.
Scrapyards are still not shifted. 
Pre-monsoon work not completed.
4) Modsai/ Tembi/ Borda/ Marlem/ 
Tolsanzor
Councillor : Carmina Rodrigues
Problems :  Door to door collection has stopped due to non-cooperation from the council. 
Internal roads are in deplorable condition. 
Desilting of drains not done.
5) Pajifond/ Junta Quarters
Councillor : Raju Naik
Problems : No door to door waste collection. 
Stray dog menace in Junta quarters.
Irregular supply of water and water pipelines need repair. 
Traffic management such as roadside parking is a big worry near Hospicio hospital
6) Fatorda/Gogol
Councillor : Sadanand Naik
Problems : Housing board has a host of problems. 
Door to door waste collection has stopped. 
Internal roads being dug up by various departments. 
Complaints of irregular telephone connections and electricity fluctuations.
7) Gogol
Councillor : Babita Naik
Problems : All roads dug up and yet to be completed. 
Irregular door to door collection. 
Bushes and undergrowth near roads still have to be cut. 
Electrical connections need to be given on priority.  
Streetlights are not regular. 
Not all drains are covered.
8) Mungul/ Madel/ Merkado
Councillor : Gonzaco Rebello
Problems : Wholesale fish market gives off a foul smell and the road from la grace hotel to the wholesale fish market is filthy.
Inspections have found sewage in wells and nullahs. 
No desiliting and repair of nullahs done.
9) Borda
Councillor : Tito Cardozo
Problems : Door to door waste collection has stopped. 
Internal roads are ridden with potholes and storm drains have still not been cleaned.
Drains are dangerously open in several places. 
Trimming of tree branches at places required as part of pre-monsoon work.
10) Comba
Councillor : Bindiya Naik
Problems : Very few people here know that they have a councillor as she has never been seen or heard from. 
Main nallah at Comba requires desilting before monsoons. 
Pre-monsoon work not completed.
11) Comba/ Murmut
Councillor : Sushila Naik
Problems : Locals have complained about how recently hot mixed roads have turned dangerous due to high edges. Very dangerous especially for two-wheelers.
Drains are not cleared and every likely for roads to turn into rivers during monsoons especially near Samodar Sal.
12) Pedda/ Khareband/ Kharle
Councillor : Dorris Texeira
Problems : Complaints about filling of low lying catchment areas at Khareband. 
Drains not cleared and desliting required. 
Area was flooded last monsoon period and roads were waterlogged.
Pre-monsoon works need to be completed.
13) Mestabhat –  Sirvodem :
Councillor : Rosy Pereira
Problems : The entire ward is littered with filth.
Drains along old station road and Gandhi market are full to the brim and over flowing. 
Drain behind telephone exchange and near Fatima convent overflowing with sewage and hotel waste.
14) Sirvodem :
Councillor : Dayanand Deulkar
Problems : There is not a single drain in this ward which is cleaned.
Sight of Nullah near Sirvodem Masjid is pitiful.
Migrants have put up shanties all over the place and subsequently scatter filth.
15) Malbhat :
Councillor : Dhananjay Mayekar
Problems : Nullah near railway station not yet cleared. 
Drains are choked and at many places without slabs. 
Labourers and migrants sleeping on footpaths at night. 
Encroachments on footpaths.
16) Sirvodem/Chinchal/ Calcondem/
Ratwado/ Colmorod/ Santeri  :
Councillor : Pratima Coutinho
Problems :  KRC road near Azad Nagar in bad shape following digging by sewerage department.
Encroachments on footpaths. 
Grass cutting yet to be done as part of pre-monsoon work. 
Drains have to be desilted of silt dumped by sewage dept.
17) Tolleaband/ Aquem-Alto/ Tolsanzor/ 
Aquem Baixo and Rawanfond :
Councillor : Avinash Shirodkar
Problems : There is perennial flooding at Rawanfond junction. 
Nullah there has to be cleaned before monsoons. 
Door to door waste collection is irregular. 
Unchecked dumping of garbage on the side of the road.
18) Tolsanzor/Aquem Alto/ 
Vidhyanagar/ Malbhat:
Councillor : Laxmikant Kamat
Problems : Part of Moti Dongor present here. 
In spite of demolition, illegal encroachment continues unabated.
Main road is still being dug up and pre-monsoon work not completed.
19) Talsanzor/ Aquem Alto :
Councillor :  Sangeeta Audi
Problems : Irregular waste collection and overflowing drains. 
Trimming of branches yet to be completed. 
Waste material like mud from digging of road still lying on side of roads.
20) Talsanzor/ Toleband/ Zor( Spring) :
Councillor : Damodar Shirodkar
Problems :  Waste collection is very irregular as a professional waste collection contractor has been entrusted the job. In the bargain the workers are not paid adequately and hence leave. Since inception of the system, at least 4 sets of workers have changed.
Major traffic congestion at Power house circle junction. No action by council or traffic department causing risk to commuters/locals.
