OLD Goa: Organisers of the first ever convention of the Small Christian Communities (SCC) being held in Goa say delegates have been registered from every part of the country.
“There are people from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from the North East to Gujarat. All the States are represented. Though we said we could accommodate 20 people from each state, some places have sent as few as 10,” said the Secretary of the National Service Team (NST) for SCCs and the convenor of the National Organising Team, Fr Vijay Thomas.
He added that Mumbai registered 50 delegates. Goa on the other hand registered 1,762 delegates. 605 from Margao, 422 from Karmali, 316 from Thivim and 419 from Vasco have been registered. National delegates have been accommodated at Goan residences. Outstation delegates will begin to leaving the State when the convention ends on November 21.
