PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday said that all those who are vaccinated with both COVID-19 vaccination doses will be permitted to enter Goa without any restrictions.
Sawant said that those who possess vaccination certificates will be allowed in Goa and need not carry a separate COVID-19 negative certificate.

As per the present standard operating procedure (SOP), those carrying COVID negative certificate from tests done 72-hours prior to their visit, are allowed in the State.
The State has also permitted private labs to set up at the border for COVID-19 testing and will now engage private labs to test passengers arriving via railways, he said.
The Chief Minister said that the COVID situation in Goa is now coming under control and that the positivity rate is declining, and is approximately six per cent, adding that it is likely to come below five per cent within the next two to three days. The recovery rate of patients is also increasing, he said.
Sawant also said that the government has sent a detailed report to the Union government as to how the State plans to spend the Rs 300 crore fund for 60 years of liberation. The Home Department sent the detailed report to the Niti Aayog, who he added, had already sanctioned it. The Goa government will receive these funds, he added.
He clarified that consultants have been appointed for Centrally-sponsored schemes on success rate based payment terms. These consultants will help the government in the preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) so that the process can be streamlined and the chances of the State being allotted the Centrally sponsored schemes are increased.
“I will release a detailed official report on the same shortly,” he said.
