CANACONA: Canacona police has registered a case against one Sachin Pagi for physically assaulting Satyawan B Pagi when he had gone to the Talpona fishing jetty on Thursday morning.
Canacona police said that a case is registered against Sachin Pagi, a resident of Galgibagha under Section 324 of IPC for allegedly assaulting Satyawan B Pagi of Talpona in the early morning hours of Thursday.
Satyawan B Pagi, a fisherman, complained in writing that when he had gone to the Talpona jetty at about 5.45 am on Thursday, he was attacked by Sachin Pagi with a wooden bar due to which he suffered head injuries.
Police said that, prima facie, it looks like a case of past enmity as both the complainant and the accused fish from the same jetty.
On the basis of the complaint, police has registered a case against the accused for allegedly voluntarily causing hurt to the complainant by the wooden bar.
Police said that the complainant is presently admitted in the hospital for the head injuries inflicted in the attack. The case is being investigated by Suhas Velip under the supervision of his seniors.
