According to Porvorim police, Agnelo Angelo Fernandes of Portawado-Siolim complained that the accused, Maxson Rozario of Dandalim-Nerul, allegedly stabbed the gardener Rajendra Behra in the stomach with a knife.
The incident took place as Behra was working in the garden.
Acting on a police complaint, police arrested Rozario and he has been remanded in police custody.
The motive behind the incident is not known yet and police are conducting the investigation to ascertain what led to the stabbing. The antecedents of the gardener and the accused are also being ascertained.
There was no status report on the health of the victim.
