MAPUSA: Goa Forward Party’s Acting President and former Tivim MLA Kiran Kandolkar on Saturday strongly objected to the Goa Tamnar Transmission Project.
Stating that there is a strong objection for the 400 kv mega volts project line which is passing through Corjuem, Aldona, Tivim and Colvale, Kandolkar said, “The people initially thought that this project would impact only Mollem and protested against it. But it’s not the fact, because along with Mollem, this line is also passing through Melauli, Amona, Mayem, Corjuem, Aldona, Tivim and Colvale.”
“When we saw the plan, it was learnt that half of the Colvale village will be affected with the power supply lines of mega volts passing,” he said
